Flexible task duration specification |
You may now specify task durations as

entire project with fixed costs and resource
costs being rolled up for accurate task costs
and project costs.

Improved resource management |
We have completely reworked the resource
editor and it is now much easier to
manage resources and task assignments.
You hear many companies professing that
their people are their most important asset
well, for our new resource editor it's the
truth! It's now easier than ever to manage
resources and associated cost - from
forklifts and expendables to Flash
Gordon. |

Improved email security |
Task assignment email sent to resources
may now be protected with industry standard
SSL encryption.
As we all now know, the Internet is a
series of tubes and we wouldn't want any of
those nasty tubes intercepting or modifying
your email - SSL encryption will keep your
beloved email safe. |

Deadline scheduling |
Denote tasks as deadlines and track them
using visual indicators and new reports.
If you have a project with end dates and
tasks that absolutely can not be late this
feature will be your best new friend! |
Improved task information editor |
We completely reworked the task information editor for clearer data visualization and easier navigation. |
New resource chart |
When you start Pro 4 you'll see a new tab in the main window along with the Gantt chart and Network Diagram. It's a Gantt like presentation of the resources and their assignments in this project.
This makes it much easier to see which team is at the beach most often. |
| Quickly communicate with assigned resources |
Right click on any task and a menu of options will be presented. We've added "Email Assigned Resources" - when you select this a new message will be created in your email application with the assigned resources preloaded as recipients.
This is a great way to quickly request and update on the task or pass along new information to the resources.
