Critical Path
The project path with the longest duration. The critical path will change from time to time as activities are added, modified, completed ahead or behind schedule.

Gantt Chart
A graphical representation of the main stages or activities in a project work plan over time, i.e. a form of bar chart. A useful project management tool.

iCalendar
An Internet standard for creating and sharing electronic calendaring and scheduling information. It is also known as iCal. iCalendar is implemented and supported by a large number of products, including the Apple iCal application, Microsoft's Outlook, Mozilla Calendar (including Mozilla Sunbird), Kolganizer and Ximian Evolution.

Lag time
The amount of time delay between the completion of one task and the start of its successor task.

In a Network Diagram, the time between the start of one activity (a task) and the start of an overlapping activity (a task).

Locale
A collection of parameters that affect how information is expressed or presented within a particular group of users, generally distinguished from one another on the basis of language or location (usually country). Locale settings affect things such as number formats, currency symbols, and date and time formats.

RSS
RSS Stands for "RDF Site Summary," but is commonly referred to as "Really Simple Syndication." RSS is a method of providing website content such as news stories or software updates in a standard XML format. RSS content includes such data as news feeds, events listings, news stories, headlines, project updates, excerpts from discussion forums, etc. It can be accessed with an RSS-enabled Web browser or other programs designed for retrieving RSS feeds.

A task that consists of a logical group of tasks, called subtasks, and usually represents a phase. A task that contains a subproject.
