What Is a Project Plan?

A project plan is a set of tasks that are undertaken to complete a desired outcome or goal. It’s our belief that a little planning goes a long way towards the success of your projects and accomplishing your goal.

The foundation upon which you build the plan is the goal. The goal should clearly describe what you will deliver when the project is complete and what are the constraints (quality, time, features).

At a fundamental level, a SharedPlan Pro project is created from the following items:
•    Tasks – a relatively small goal or milestone to be accomplished as part of the overall project.
•    Resources – the people, equipment, and material that will be used in the life of this project.
•    Assignments – link resources to task. That is, which resources are assigned to which tasks.
•    Calendar – when are the project resources at work.

Building on those fundamental blocks you may quickly create and update a SharedPlan Pro project plan. Pro is in use at companies and institutions both large and small with an amazingly wide variety of plans being created and managed.
